Devops Engineer (x/f/m)
Job description
Your most important mission consists in operating applications in production and do whatever is necessary to keep the platform reliable, available and resilient.
Besides, you will also focus on improving our deployment automation processes and optimizing our release cycle (dedicated environments & CI/CD workflows)
In this role you will:
- Participate in building a DevOps / SRE culture and enable the transition to modern infrastructure management and deployment practices
- Participate in building the SRE team roadmap (vision and delivery accountability). Anticipate stakeholder needs, game-changing technologies, capacity planning and challenge scope / deadlines
- Implement automated systems for monitoring & alerting
- Empower feature teams to continue deliver the product quickly & safely
- Participate to design and deliver solutions to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of systems
- Provide expert support to our application features teams, to troubleshoot priority incidents, and conduct post-mortems
- Enforce security and compliance to protect against security threats
- “optimization (performance, cost, …) of the stack”, identify the bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization
Our Tech stack:
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Vue.js
- Backend: Typescript, PHP Symfony, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis
- Platform: AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, Kubernetes, Lambdas, Kinesis, etc.), Heroku, MongoDB Atlas, Terraform & Pulumi, Github actions
- Observability & logging: Datadog
Preferred experience
- 2/3+ years on cloud engineering at scale, on organizations operating SaaS solutions
- AWS cloud solutions and architectures expertise.
- Proficiency working in Git, Typescript, Terraform/Pulumi, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools and configuration management.
- Strong knowledge on observability practices, with experience implementing and managing Logging, Monitoring and Alerting framework with solutions such as Datadog.
- Experience in cross-functional work and the ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach with regard to building key relationships across the organization and defining projects scope, goals, plan and deliverables
- Creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify develop and implement solutions to meet the needs of the business
